Our Mission

The mission of Safe in His Arms Outreach Ministries International is to minister love, salvation, restoration, healing and deliverance to all through the teaching and preaching of the gospel.  The areas that will be reached by the good news of Jesus Christ will begin in the states of Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and the Southeast Region. The long term goal of Safe In His Arms is to impact people  for change by Christian love.

The vision of Safe in His Arms is to be a ministry of excellence that meets the physical and spiritual needs of those whom we serve.

The Journey

Take a look at our very first outreach location! Jonesboro, Georgia 2015

SIHA began in 2006 as an outreach without a name but a desire placed in the heart and spirit of Apostle Mae to serve. She began serving cheese crackers and juice boxes to a group of children living in a housing area located in Griffin, Georgia.  She became well known and quickly earned the title of, "The Cracker Lady".

Apostle Mae's first community outreach was to a housing area located in Jonesboro, Georgia.  The call to serve was answered by providing new hats, gloves, fruit, coloring books and crayons. The service and caring hearts of Apostle Mae's daughter and two granddaughters, along with two other faithful women helped to make this first outreach a success.

The journey of Love and Service continues on the streets, in shelters, senior citizen facilities, prisons, and jails.

To God Be the Glory!!!

Meet Apostle Mae Gardfrey

Apostle Mae was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel in 2005. She was licensed and ordained as an Evangelist in 2010. Serving Hands Street Ministry was birthed in 2011. This ministry consisted of active members committed to sharing the message of Jesus Christ in our local communities by reaching out to those in need of food, clothing and spiritual guidance; one life at a time. Serving Hands Street Ministry served meals and provided toiletries, new undergarments, thousands of pairs of socks, hundreds of new blankets, gloves, hats, scarves, and new sleeping bags.

Apostle Mae felt the call of God to go farther in serving the "least-of-these". In answering that call, Safe In His Arms Evangelistic Ministries, Inc 501(c)3 organization was formed. Many have been served in Jacksonville, Florida, Anniston, Alabama and other areas. The highlight of each outreach event is the many souls who come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Apostle Mae received a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from North Carolina Theological Seminary. Apostle Mae is an online graduate of the Chaplaincy Studies Program at Liberty University in Jacksonville, Florida. She was certified and ordained a Chaplain in 2014 by the American Chaplains Association. Apostle Mae was commissioned a Business Chaplain in 2019. If you would like to receive chaplaincy services (weddings, baptisms, etc) please contact Apostle Mae Gardfrey by using our "Contact Us"  form located on the Home page.

She is a volunteer teammate with Prison Fellowship of Georgia and Alabama, Bill Glass Behind the Walls Prison Ministry and the Julia Tutwiler Prison for Women. She recently served as an instructor in the Dekalb County Jail to male and female inmates.

Apostle Mae serves as an active member of Truth Ministries International Fellowship of Churches under Chief Prelate, Apostle Betty C. Phillips in Griffin, Georgia.

Apostle Mae Gardfrey is a native of Anniston, Alabama, where Safe in His Arms has an active outreach facility that serves and provides for the community.

Safe in His arms also serves The Securus House (not pictured). The Securus House is an agency that provides shelter, support, and counseling for victims of family violence in Clayton County.

Safe in His Arms provides brand-new clothing, shoes and other donations to The Rainbow House Shelter located in Jonesboro, Georgia. The Rainbow House is an emergency Shelter for children, whose mission is to provide comprehensive services that restore, heal, and rebuild the lives of children and families.
